My first appointment today is a lady, early 30’s, ABS (always been single), highly educated, her long term goal is marriage and children. She is new to Colorado Springs and was referred to me by a mutual friend.
She said “I find Colorado Springs to be a difficult place to meet new people, especially people in my age range. I never thought I would consider a dating service but I am not meeting anyone on my own and our mutual friend insisted that I should give you a call.”
She was intrigued by the profile test, and impressed by how much it told me about her.
She said “How do you know so much about me from just 46 questions that I didn’t think would tell you anything?”
I said “Many people make similar comments when they take this test. All I can tell you is that it works. It allows me to match you with someone who thinks much the same way as you in these six important areas, and it cannot be a coincidence that the couples who continue to have success are the ones who have the most compatible scores.”
She loves Colorado, and sees herself staying here indefinitely. She does not have to relocate anymore because of her job, and can finally make her personal life a priority.
She said “This would be a great place to raise a family.”
Her interest and activities include movies, dining out, music, art, fashion, theaters, concerts, hiking, and travel. She is excited to experience the outdoors in Colorado when the weather gets warmer.
She said “I look forward to a summer that does not include excessive heat, humidity and bugs.”
Her age preference for a man is 32 to 45, as long he wants to have children. Her height preference is 5’10 or taller, and she is open to all races. She appreciates a man who takes pride in his appearance and knows how to dress. She prefers someone who has a degree, but agrees that intellectual compatibility matters more than level of education.
I said “How do you feel about someone who is bald?”
She said “I prefer hair, but if you can find a man who has all these other attributes, I will love his bald head too!”
My second appointment is a man, mid 40’s, highly educated, divorced, and his long term goal is marriage. He is also new to Colorado Springs and plans to stay here. He is retired military and now works for a government contractor. He is finally in a place where he can make his personal a priority and is ready to be married again. His two children live out of state, but he is a devoted father and sees them often. His children are teenagers and he prefers to meet lady whose children are also at least 13 years old.
He said “I would like to meet someone who has the time to go places and do things without having a babysitter.” He has traveled all over the world with his military career and now he would like to travel for fun. Some of the places he would like to visit are Ireland, Italy and Germany. Besides travel, he enjoys skiing, biking, ice hockey, boating and cooking.
He has a great sense of humor and I had to give him a hard time about some of his preferences for a lady.
He said “I am only attracted to petite brunettes. A good looking blonde or redhead could walk by and I wouldn’t even notice her. Is that shallow?”
I said “I don’t know about shallow, because you are attracted to what you are attracted to, but why limit yourself that way. Besides, some ladies change their hair color like they change their clothes. Your perfect match could be a blonde today and a brunette tomorrow, or the other way around.”
As I shared information with him on ladies who are compatible matches, I said “This lady is a good match and she is a blonde today but she was a brunette last month.”
He said “OK, I get it. I will trust your judgment.”
He owns a cabin in another state that he would love to take a lady to visit when the time is right.
He said “I built it with my dad,, and kids and it’s not really a cabin, it is 1600 square feet and right on the lake.”
He is the ultimate handyman and can fix or build almost anything.
One of the things he is enjoying about being a civilian is buying new clothes. He said “I like good clothes and I am not missing wearing a uniform at all.”
It was a very entertaining interview and I look forward to introducing him to some great, quality, compatible ladies who can help him explore Colorado, have some fun and, if his dreams come true, fall in love with a petite brunette.
