Donna's Daily Diary - February 5, 2010

First Thursday at the Ritz was really hoppin’ last night. We had almost 100 people. Come join us on March 4th for the next First Thursday. This event is not just for single people, everyone is welcome.

I did not book any appointments today so I could get a lot of matching done. As I have mentioned before, everyone enjoys getting matched on Fridays and possibly meeting on the weekends. Also, I am going to be out of the office tomorrow for my birthday. I do not know how it is possible but I will be 63 on Monday. It’s funny how when you get older “older” gets older. I can remember when I thought being in my 60’s I would be old. Not even close! Now I think 70 sounds old but when I get there I bet it won’t feel old…..I can only hope.

Feedback from a lady I matched three weeks ago: “We have been out six times, put me “on hold” (which means she does not want to meet anyone else), you hit a homerun with this one.” He called about ten minutes later and said “Please don’t tell her because I don’t want to scare her but I know she is going to be the love of my life.” Three months….they still have to make it through the first three months. He said “Donna, we are going to do it your way and we have both agreed we are not going to be intimate for three months. The interesting thing is, just having that discussion takes pressure off both of us to relax and focus on the friendship.” They are planning a trip to Santa Fe and, ironically, (I think not) they will be there on the third month anniversary of their first meeting. Ah, new love, it’s so exciting!
