Donna's Daily Diary - February 23, 2010
My first appointment is a man I worked with back in 1993. He is mid 50’s, retired military, ABS (always been single), and his long term goal is marriage. He prefers to meet a lady who has no pets and no kids at home. He is fit and active and likes a lady who is also fit and active. When I worked with him 17 years ago he was late 30’s, active military, ABS, and his long term goal was marriage. He preferred to meet a lady who had no pets, no kids, and was fit and active. The only thing that has changed is he is 17 years older. He said he needed to “think about it” and he would let me know Thursday. I have no idea what will happen in the next two days that hasn’t happened in the last 17 years but I guess he will let me know. I hate to see people limit themselves to the point of eliminating most of their possibilities and when they do, I think they are subconsciously sabotaging themselves. I have had a client that would not meet a lady if her shoe size was bigger than 7. I have had a client who would not meet a lady because she did not have blue or green eyes. Most of my clients are much more open on their preferences and, naturally, have much better results. “Nothing is right or wrong, but thinking makes it so.”
My second appointment today is a man, mid 30’s, ABS, and his long term goal is marriage and children. When I interview someone, have their scores, talk to them and see them, I know how many matches I have for them and I share information on at least a couple of those matches. The first profile I shared with him he was so quiet while I shared her information, didn’t say a word, but I could tell he was listening intently. When I finished he looked at me with this incredulous look on his face and said “She was my first girlfriend in high school.” I have lived here 32 years and this stuff happens all the time but this man had no idea what had happened with this lady for the last 18 years and yet he immediately knew who she was. I asked him if he wanted me to talk with her about him and he said “Yes, definitely.” I called her after he left and she was dumbfounded. Their scores are a great match, they have many common interests, they are both divorced with one child and they are both in the same career field. Karma, fate, timing, destiny? I can’t wait to see how this match goes.
To be continued tomorrow…………………..
