Donna's Daily Diary - February 25, 2010
My first appointment today is a man, late 20’s, ABS, has a young child, owns a very successful business, and his long term goal is marriage and children. He has his child about 50% of the time. He said “I’m done with girls who are into the bar scene and partying. I want to be married and have more children.” He said the mother of his child is a wonderful lady and a terrific mother but they only dated a few months and the pregnancy was unexpected. However, they both agreed they wanted to have the baby. She has since married and has another child and he often takes both of the kids. It sounds like a very positive situation for everyone involved, especially the kids. He enjoys hiking, camping, golf, travel, spending time with his family and friends and working. He loves what he does for a living. He said “I would be the best husband for the right person.” And now, he is going to let me help him find her.
My second appointment is a lady, mid 50’s, divorced, educated, semi-retired, grown children, and her long term goal is to be in love and have it last forever. She has more time for a relationship and she misses having someone special in her life. She said “There is nothing that compares to being in love with a man, and there is nothing that substitutes for it.” She wants to travel but is just as happy to stay in the “good old USA”. She would love to do road trips to some of our national parks. She also snowshoes, does the incline, enjoys the arts, concerts, the symphony and cooking. She said “I’m a great cook and I love to cook for a man.” She told me a story about a man she dated for several years and when the relationship ended he wanted to know if he could still come over for dinner occasionally. I asked her what her age preference is for a man. She said “I don’t think age matters, you decide.” She said “I’m not lonely, I just don’t want to be alone. I feel like I am in the best place I have ever been in my life to meet the right person and I’m tired of waiting for it to just happen.” I told her that was one of the best things about my service, she will meet serious minded men who are also tired of waiting for it to just happen.
My third appointment is a lady, early 40’s, divorced, no children and her long term goal is marriage and children. All the important pieces of her life are in place, education, career, beautiful home, financial security and now she has time to make her personal life a priority. She even has a prenuptial agreement ready. I said “Isn’t that putting the cart before the horse?” She said “I have worked very hard for everything I have and I am not going to risk all that because some Bozo comes along and tells me a pack of lies or cheats on me.” I may have my work cut out for me here.
To be continued tomorrow.……………………………
