Donna's Daily Diary - October 24, 2009

My first appointment today is a late 20’s, ABS (always been single) young lady. She has a job she loves and makes almost 100K with a high school education. She is very smart and her long term goal is to be married and have children. In the past year she changed her lifestyle and lost over 50 pounds. She is very proud of her accomplishment, rightfully so, but, she needs to lose 50 more pounds to reach her goal weight. Her height and weight ratio will still be a limiting factor as far as matching her is concerned. It is never easy to talk with women about their weight and it was especially difficult to say to someone who has already lost 50 pounds. This young lady is obviously on a mission to attain her goal. She said she has to buy new clothes every month. I offered her membership but I had to agree with her that she will have more options when she loses more weight. She is going to wait for now but I think we will work together in the near future.

Weight is almost always the “issue” for men. Height is almost always the “issue” for women. That hasn’t changed in the 22 years I have been in this business. That is why short men often over estimate their height and overweight women often under estimate their weight. That is the politically correct way to say “men lie about their height and women lie about their weight.” Even on their driver’s licenses.

I went to lunch today with my daughter, son-in-law and grandson. We were celebrating my grandson’s seventh birthday. He comes running across the parking lot for a big hug and I said “What does your T shirt say?” He said “Read it!” It said “I’m going to be a big brother.” My daughters have the most unique ways of letting me know I am going to be a grandmother again. I have three grandsons 10, 7.5 and 7. One more chance for that granddaughter but another grandson would be just fine. I really thought there would not be anymore grandchildren so this is an extra special surprise! I asked my grandson how he felt about it and he said “It will be nice to have somebody to sit in the backseat with me.” It’s a start.

I am going to spend my day adding new clients to my Available Singles list. I will continuously be adding new available singles. Please check back often or just call for your complimentary interview.
