Donna's Daily Diary - October 29, 2009

My two appointments for today rescheduled because of the weather. I live right off I25 and Garden of the Gods and my office is off I25 and Bijou and the roads are totally fine between here and there but, I’ve lived here 32 years and I know how different it can be even 15 miles away. This will give me time to get my additions to my Available Singles list done.

I had feedback today from the couple that I matched on September 23rd. He is 78, sharp as a tack and, she is an unbelievably active, healthy 83 years young. He does not know how old she is although I usually share that information when I make a match. I asked him if he would trust my judgment and meet her without knowing her age and he agreed. They are seeing each other a couple of times a week. They eat out and he won’t let her pay for anything. Yes, ladies, those type of men still exist, barely.
She reciprocates by cooking for him which he loves. I do not have much activity in this age range and this lady has been very kind and very patient. She became a client almost three years ago and in that time she is still good friends with the first man I introduced to her but they are not romantic. The man I just introduced to her became a client in March of this year and dated the first lady I introduced to him for about two and a half months. She started saying she “wanted it all” i.e.: “marriage” and he said “Adios”. This lady is a much better match for him and her focus is just on enjoying his companionship and having fun. They have plans to go to the Marine ball, concerts and other events. He still doesn’t know how old she is and he doesn’t care. In fact, he’s not sure he can keep up with her.

Feedback from another lady who has been dating a man I introduced her to two years ago was also about differences of opinion as to where their relationship is headed. He is not ready to make a commitment and she “does not want to be someone’s girlfriend for the rest of her life.” I have said it before and I am sure I will say it again, if someone is saying “marry me or else” it should be “or else.”

To be continued tomorrow……………………………………..
