Donna's Daily Diary - November 3, 2009
This Thursday, the 5th, will be the second First Thursday at the Ritz. The Fine Art Center used to do the First Thursday of every month with a wine tasting but after several years they discontinued it. The Ritz is very open and interested in continuing the First Thursday tradition and I am helping them. I have sent out emails to over 80 people, single, married, it doesn’t matter and, there is a singles club that is also supposed to come with about 40 people. There is a $10 charge which gets you one complimentary drink and free Ritz Signature Hors D’ oeuvres: to include salmon, Voodoo Chicken, eggrolls and more. It will be a great opportunity to have fun, network, run into old friends and acquaintances and everyone is welcome. Happy hour prices on the drinks after your complimentary drink. It’s from 5:30 to 8:30. Hope to see you there!
My first appointment today is a young lady in her early 30’s, ABS (always been single), her long term goal is marriage and she can go either way as far as having children. She said the most important thing to her was “being with a man I love unconditionally and he feels the same way about me. If we wanted to have kids, great. If not, great.” She is wise beyond her years. She is the oldest of six and she was changing a baby sister’s diaper when she was seven. My experience has been when the oldest sibling has had major child caring responsibilities for the younger siblings they are less likely to want to have children of their own. They feel like they have already been a parent. She would also be happy to meet a man who has children and be a part of that picture. Bottom line, she likes kids. I think she would be a fabulous mother, she already has been.
My second appointment will not be a new client for now. I met with this lady two years ago and the timing is still not right. She thanked me then, two years ago, and , she thanked me again today. I think we will work together eventually but, not now.
Fun feedback today from a man who has been dating a lady I introduced to him six weeks ago. She has two cats and he is OK with cats but, her cats are like her kids. One of her cats ran out of the house and she found her cat but she was really upset with her cat. He was visiting her at her home the next day and was going to the bathroom and she said “Don’t go in there! My cat’s on “time out” because she ran off and she can’t come out of the bathroom for two more hours!” Fortunately, there was another bathroom. The really funny thing, and this is the truth, I went out for Halloween to the Ritz last Saturday night and this couple was there and she was dressed as “Cat Woman!” I couldn’t make this stuff up! They were having a great time.
To be continued tomorrow…………………………...
