Donna's Daily Diary - November 4, 2009

My first appointment today is a man in his mid 40’s, divorced, one child, and his long term goal is marriage. He is open to having more children. He tried the internet dating services for a few months and he has the same complaints I hear most often, time consuming, ineffective, live too far away, don’t look like their pictures, say they are interested then he never hears from them again. He actually dated a lady in Texas for three months. He estimated that he spent over three thousand dollars in the past three months on airfare and dining out. He paid for her to come here the first three times and the fourth time he went to Texas. She didn’t show up at the airport to pick him up, didn’t return his calls and he hasn’t heard from her since. The “up” side is, he had a great time. He stayed in a really nice hotel, he got a massage, he laid out in the sun and he met a beautiful lady at the cocktail bar after dinner. They danced and flirted and talked and he thought she was wonderful. Then she told him she had to “git home to my husssband.” He heard my radio commercial the next day on his way home from the airport and called to book an appointment. Timing is everything. Ironically, the first lady I am going to match him with was born and raised in Texas.

I have a client I would really like to find a match for and today is his birthday. He is a new client and his long term goal is marriage and children. He is a very strong believer, on a scale of 0 to 10, his religion score is a 9. He has always been single and prefers to meet a lady who would like to be a stay at home mom. Here is what he wrote for his Special Moments part of this profile: “I became a Christian at a young age and have been raised in the church. My faith is important to me and is something that I need to have in common with a woman. Jesus Christ has to be the center of both our lives.
