Donna's Daily Diary - November 11, 2009

Today is Veteran’s day and I would like to thank my 86 year young father who is a retired Air Force Colonel and all our Veterans, retired and active, for their service to our country. My Dad was a pilot in World War II, the Korean War and also served during the Vietnam War. His active duty was from 1942 – 1974. He has lots of stories and you can listen to some of them that were recorded on the radio show I did last year by going to the radio page on my website and clicking on the date 11-11-08. I have his baseball type cap he wore when he was flying and it has 50 bomb emblems on it which means he flew 50 combat missions. I am very proud of my Dad, my two brothers, who also served during Vietnam, and all the brave men and women who have fought for and continue to fight for our country. I say a prayer for them every day when I open the newspaper and read how many more soldiers have lost their lives.

My only appointment today will not be a new client, at least not now. He told me on the initial phone call he was divorced, he told me in the interview he was divorced and when he agreed to become a client and read my contract which states, in part, “if you have given me any false information I can cancel your membership and keep your money”, he said “I should probably tell you, my divorce is not yet final.” I said “Have you filed?” He said, “No, but in my heart I am divorced and we haven’t had sex for two years.” I told him I could not offer him membership until he has filed and is divorced. The women I work with will not meet men who are not divorced. End of interview.
