Donna's Daily Diary - November 19, 2009

Feedback from a lady who met her first match last night. “He was really nice. I enjoyed our conversation. I think he’s funny and smart and a good Dad however, his eye contact was not good. He was looking at the TV, the people walking by, the traffic and when he talked to me, he would be looking straight at me talking and he would close his eyes and keep talking. I asked her how long he kept his eyes closed and she said “for several seconds.” I asked her how many times he did it in the hour they spent together and she said “probably a half a dozen times.” She asked me if I noticed it in the interview and I said “Yes.” She is interested in seeing him again and she asked me if I was going to share her feedback with him about closing his eyes. I told her it would be an opportunity for me to be able to find out what he has to say about it and I would like to share it with him, with her permission. She agreed.

“A breath of fresh air”, that is how it felt when my first appointment walked through my door. The first thing I noticed was his fabulous smile and gorgeous white teeth. His handshake was firm but gentle and, so is he. Talk about a happy guy! He is 49, divorced, one grown child and, his long term goal is marriage. He is self employed, loves his job, his kid, his dog and, his life. His temperament score is an “8” on a scale of “0” to “10” and he is very easy going. He said “I am easy going but I’m not a wimp.” He has been dating for the last three years but he hasn’t met anyone he has dated for more than three months. He said “I’m tired of investing three months here and three months there and the next thing you know another year has gone by.” He has seen my wall ads for years and when the last three month relationship ended he decided to give me a call. When he was walking out of my office he said “I feel like I have just turned over my part time job to you and I am looking forward to this experience.” I have some great matches for him.
