Donna's Daily Diary - November 24, 2009

No appointments today. It used to be that everyone had Thursday and Friday off for Thanksgiving, which gave most of us a four day weekend, which was great! All of a sudden everyone is taking the whole week off, including most of the school districts. I do have an appointment tomorrow and she sounds like a very match able person.

Feedback from a lady who has been dating a man I introduced to her two months ago. “He didn’t follow through in the last two weeks and he canceled and rescheduled and canceled too many times. I want somebody who is crazy about me. Someone who will call me when he has a couple of extra hours and say, Hi Sweetie, let’s meet for lunch, or dinner, or a cocktail or a walk in the park. I need to know someone really wants to spend time with me AND, I want someone I am crazy about.” I called him and he was very disappointed. He said “I like her. She’s funny and quirky and odd.” I told him she did not think he was interested enough and he started explaining about how busy he was for the last two weeks, finishing a project and putting in long hours. I called her back and she said “You know what? Let’s just move on.” She is a “5” in temperament; direct, straight forward, no bull, she tells it like it is. She does not have the patience for his “wishy-washy” ways. Her words, not mine.

The only slow time of year I have in this business is December and January is always my busiest month. I have three more weeks, until December 18th, to wrap up 2009. I am in my 19th year of business and this is the most unusual year I have ever experienced. It has also been my most fulfilling year. When times get tough, people start prioritizing. When people start prioritizing, they start thinking about what matters most. When they start thinking about matters most, they think about sharing their life with someone special. Obviously, this is where I come into the picture.
