Donna's Daily Diary - December 2, 2009

It is soooooo cold today and the high tomorrow is supposed to be 19 and the low, 1 degree. I lived in Goose Bay Labrador when I was 10 years old and this cold feels like that cold. My first appointment said he is going to wait until after the first of the year so he won’t have to buy a Christmas present if he meets someone special before Christmas. I immediately look at his finance score…a “3”, on a scale of zero to ten. This means he is extremely budget minded, when he buys, he shops and compares. He buys quality, things that last. He knows where his money is and he knows where it’s going. I said “I’ll make you a deal. You sign up today and if you meet someone special before Christmas, which is three weeks away, I will pay for your Christmas gift to her and you can pay me double my fee.” This young man is very financially stable and secure. He is in his mid 30’s, ABS, wants marriage and children and he is concerned about buying a Christmas present as compared to the idea of meeting someone special. After some discussion he said “Am I really tight?” I said “Yes.” He said “Is that a bad thing?” I said “Not necessarily, but if you do it to the point where you pass up on opportunities you can well afford and can benefit from because you feel more comfortable with that money in the bank, you might be limiting yourself.” I am working on setting up his first match.

My second appointment rescheduled to Saturday. I interviewed him in August and he decided to try some other options before investing in Perfectly Matched. He still remembered some of the ladies I talk with him about in August and wanted to know if they were still available. I talked to him about four ladies and three of them are still available. Of course the one he was most interested in is the one who is not currently available. Everything happens for a reason.
