Donna's Daily Diary - December 14, 2009

This lady is a teacher in her early 50’s, has a Master’s degree and her long term goal is marriage. Her interests and activities include, Pilates and working out (she has her own gym in her home), travel (she has been to France, England, Germany, Spain, Portugal), hiking, spending time with family and friends, gardening, reading, poetry, movies, concerts and she loves theater.

This is her ideal relationship:

I believe that one of the most wonderful of all things in life is having a partner who adds a sweet dimension to my life. He doesn’t have to complete me; I am complete as I am. He just needs to be there to share life with me. Love is not about finding the perfect person, it is about creating the perfect relationship. I look forward to building that relationship.”

This man is in his mid to late 40’s, divorced, two children in college, has a Master’s degree, retired military officer and, self employed. His long term goal is a serious, long term relationship and possibly marriage. His interests include hiking, biking, weight lifting, snowboarding, running, theater, concerts, dining out, entertaining and movies. He has traveled much of the world and would like to go to South America and Iceland.

“Well, I believe I finally know what my “ideal” relationship will be. First, it will be wonderful to fall asleep at night thinking about waking up and seeing my partner’s beautiful face in the morning, before anything else, to start the day, that one person you adore and respect like no other before her. Beyond that, sharing and experiencing life together as we travel both here and abroad. Enjoying the outdoors (hiking, biking and driving) in our gorgeous state and staying both physically and mentally fit.

We’d challenge and complement each other in many diverse ways, but in a manner that allows us to grow and learn together. Lifting the other up when they are down or just giving them the space they need in order to lift themselves back up. Just knowing and understanding sometimes with words, sometimes with a hug, but always with a caring smile. I would love to attend live music events with my partner. My ideal relationship would also involve us watching and attending sporting events, though this isn’t a deal breaker. When children are at issue, my partner would understand that I am still committed as a father, even though my children are young adults and that I would be committed to my partner’s children just the same. Ultimately, it would be great to buy or build a home together, one which accommodates both her needs and mine. But, the one thing it must have is a spectacular view from the hot !”
