Dating 101…Anytime I start with that you know someone made a big mistake. Feedback today from a lady after her first meeting; “He looked at every woman in the place; the woman who greeted us, the woman that waited on us, the women walking past us while we were seated, the women in the parking lot.” These are both new clients so I don’t have any feedback on either of them to determine if she is over reacting or “he looked at every woman.” Either way, BIG mistake if you are trying to make a good first impression, whether you are a man or a woman. This has come back to me in feedback many times, not only from my clients but also, from people in general. My experience has been this happens because the other person is NOT interested in you. If a person is interested in you, they are looking at YOU, not other men or women. They ARE asking you questions about you and your life. Needless to say, she is not interested in seeing him again. I told her I would call her back after I speak with him and, in the meantime, I would match her with someone else. I am very interested in his feedback. This is how I get to know my clients.
I went to dinner tonight and sat next to a man who has been married to a lady I introduced him to 14 years ago. He shared with me how he had almost given up on my service because he had met five ladies and nothing had clicked. What a shame that would have been. I said “When I have someone who tells me they want to “give up” can I have them give you a call?” “You bet.” There is no time frame on my service and I never give up because I know there is someone for everyone. He also shared with me their kids, his and hers, are all in their 20’s and doing great. He said “This is OUR time and it’s better than I ever thought it could be.” I really enjoyed my dinner.
I left the files for the two featured clients for today at the office. I will add them tomorrow…………………………………..
